I’m A vegetarian. Can I go on the tour?

Of course you can! Please let us know when booking your ticket what your dietary restrictions are and we will do our best to adhere to them. Most of the time, we are able to make it work! Please bear in mind though that sometimes it can be a little tricky, for example at the sausage stand: Austrian sausage is traditionally made of pork and there are virtually no other versions (meat or meatless) available.

Family reunion, corporate incentive outing, wedding anniversary or teambuilding event - our tours can be tailored exactly to your needs and wishes. We have had the pleasure to organize and accompany exceptional experiences for groups sized 2 to 30 with completely different backgrounds and preferences. If you are looking for something special or out-of-the-ordinary for your stay in Vienna, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us here. We’d love to help!

ARE YOU OFFERING DIFFERENT TOURS AS WELL?

I have small kids. Can they go on the tour as well?

Sure, we'll be happy to host your kids on our tour. However, please note that we are not able to offer a special menu for your little ones.

What languages are available on the tour?

We speak German and English - and a fair amount of Hungarian, too ;)

Please note that we need at least 4 tickets booked to run a regular tour. In case there are less than 4 tickets sold for a date, the tour will unfortunately have to be cancelled and you will be refunded. If that’s the case, we will notify you 7 days prior to the tour.

WHAT IS THE MINIMUM NUMBER OF PEOPLE TO RUN A REGULAR TOUR?

Of course! We love our planet and want to help preserving its beauty as much as we can. Here’s what we are aim to do as a travel company: We only walk or use public transport on our tours, do not use bottled water or any other plastic and try to reduce food waste as much as possible. Read more on how to travel slow & green in Vienna in our blog post.

I WANT TO TRAVEL MORE SUSTAINABLY. CAN I GO ON YOUR TOUR?

Yes, most definitely! All stops include portions big enough to fill up your belly with delicious Viennese cuisine.

Will I be full after this tour?

Feel free to dress as casual or as fancy as you wish! Just make sure to wear comfortable shoes (sneakers are absolutely fine) as we will do a fair amount of walking and Vienna's streets include quite a lot of cobblestone.

Is there a certain dress code for the tour?

I'm interested in a different kind of tour. Do you offer that as well?

If you want to do a tour of Vienna's vegan restaurants, go bar-hopping with a Bachelorette party or planning a tasty & fun incentive trip with your colleagues, let us know! We're happy to offer customized tours tailored to your individual needs.

With Vienna Food Tours, we don't rush you from spot to spot while only offering you tiny samples - we have 4 stops on our tour, and we sit down at 3 of them to enjoy a lovely meal, get to know each other and have a glass of wine. We want you to get the best out of this experience - not drag you across the city and only feed you bits and pieces of our delicious cuisine! This is something we are quite famous for in Austria, actually: Our Gemütlichkeit. It's a way of life!

Why should I choose this tour instead of others?

Sure thing! Send us an email and we'll see what we can do. Most of the time, we're able to work something out.

Your dates don't match up with my time in Vienna. Is there another way to book a tour?

The tour lasts for 3.5-4 hours and we will be walking for approx. 1-1.5 hours in total (approx. 5km/3mi in total). You should be fairly comfortable walking for up to 25 mins at a leisurely pace.

How much walking does the tour entail exactly?

We recommend going on a tour as early as you can during your stay in Vienna. Not only do you get the lay of the land in a fun & entertaining way, you also receive a list of our favorite picks (from restaurants to farmers markets and bars) right after so you know where to go for more Viennese deliciousness.

When is the best time to go on a food tour?

Cancellations made 1 week prior to the scheduled tour date are refundable apart from a 5% transaction fee on the total of your order which is non-refundable. Cancellations received 6 or less days before the tour date are not eligible for a refund and cannot be rescheduled. Cancellations must be communicated by email to the address listed in your confirmation email no less than 7 days before scheduled departure time to request a refund.

What if I have to cancel my ticket?
